Anxiety is a feeling of worry or unease that can be mild or severe. Everyone has some anxiety at some point in their life.
For example, you may feel anxious or nervous about sitting for an exam or a meeting at work, for example, however, it is when those thoughts begin to take over your life, become intrusive and stop you from doing your day-to-day activities that they become an issue.
Anxiety is created in a number of ways, at the foundation is negative thinking about the future: worrying about what may happen, or rather what may never happen, looping thoughts over and over negatively forecasting things which become draining and all-encompassing on your time and life.
This leads me to ask:
Are you fed up with having the same thoughts over and over?
Are you boring yourself, find them exhausting and draining they’re so negative?
Sick of worrying about things which may never happen?
as I’ve said, anxiety is created in a number of ways, one of them is the repetitive negative forecasting of things that we can’t control.
Imagine the worst-case scenario over and over again.
Those two little words over and over: What if?
We also create anxiety when we dwell on the past, those things we cannot change, when we keep going over past events which have impacted us in a negative way but we cannot move on from, this is negative introspection. the “If Only’s” and “I wish I had done x, y and z” or “I should have said”
When we are doing either of these we aren’t living in the moment.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy helps you to break that cycle, encouraging you to live in the moment, so you focus on the here and now, enjoying the good things about your life and finding the joy again, sleeping better and able to focus on what you want to focus on.
Anxiety can also have an impact on your life in other ways:
Does it get worse with Anxiety?
Do you find certain issues are exacerbated when you are stressed or worried about something?
Do you find your sleep is broken, you’re waking up in the night and thinking about things you wish you weren’t?
Eating things you wish you weren’t?
Drinking more than usual?
Losing your temper easily?
Getting emotional and tearful more easily than usual?
Hypnotherapy can help you to reduce these symptoms and responses by helping you to sleep better, think clearer and more rationally and feel like yourself again.
